QUINTET SELECTED INTO ENGLAND UNDER-18 SQUAD

Exeter Chiefs have had five players selected into the England Under-18 squad for the forthcoming season.

Prop Luke Cowan-Dickie, fly-half Henry Slade, centre Sam Hill, winger Jack Arnott and full-back Jack Nowell have all been invited to attend a five-day training camp at Bisham Abbey.

The quintet have all successfully made it through various camps and put in top class performances in the ASSE League to gain their place within the England squad. The next challenge for the five lads is to try and secure a position within the England Six Nations squad.

All five players have featured for the club's Academy side and have all been involved in the Sevens and A League squads.

Other Academy players who have been performing well are Tom Cowan-Dickie, who has featured for the Cornish Pirates in the Championship, as well as Aaron Penberthy and Malcolm Hearn, who have been loaned out to National League One side Redruth.

Ollie Marriott, Mike Canty and Chris Reakes have all featured in the A League and for Exeter University, whilst props Lloyd Fairbrother and Jack Andrew have been furthering their careers with Exmouth and the Cornish All Blacks respectively.

Charlie Walker-Blair, meanwhile, has been making a name for himself in National League Two where he is currently Taunton's top scorer.
